Alvin Yip, Co-Founder & Co-CEO
Alvin Yip is a seasoned entrepreneur and an industry leader with over 35 years of diverse experience forming, capitalizing and managing companies spanning across technology, large scale and medical manufacturing, energy, and maritime transportation. Alvin is renowned for his expertise in advanced gas solutions, cutting-edge LNG bunkering technologies. He combines technical mastery and visionary thinking to drive innovation. Alvin is a proven executive with strategic and tactical execution acumen and has demonstrated success in global markets across various sectors, languages and cultures. His adaptability and comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics and geo-politics makes him particularly well- suited to operate in the rapidly evolving worldwide energy sector. His career is defined by sustainable solutions and transforming complex challenges into opportunities for growth and excellence.
Chris Hilliard, Principal, Northern Prince LNG, LLC, Advisor
Chris Hilliard has been driving innovation in Canada’s LNG sector since 2010. His professional career began with one of Canada’s premier investment dealers. He then joined a boutique investment firm focused on ESG investing before moving into LNG more than a decade ago. Throughout his career he has focused on bringing funding to unique, innovative and profitable enterprises across many markets. He advises public and private companies in sectors including clean tech batteries, mining, and medical devices. Mr. Hilliard has occupied senior leadership roles in many corporate engagements over the last three decades crafting strategy, linking capital and executing on business plans. He has travelled the world looking to bring Canada’s abundant natural resources, clean energy and innovation to markets with strong demand, particularly in Asia. Within the LNG space his companies have navigated the Provincial and Federal regulatory processes, one of a very small number to achieve full environmental and industrial approvals and worked closely with Indigenous peoples to craft local and global opportunities. The latest iteration, Northern Prince LNG, is considering multiple projects in BC, Manitoba and across the country to deliver cleaner fuel to Canada’s north, Asia and Europe.
Saeed Harandi, Advisor
Saeed Harandi is a senior executive with 35 years of experience in management, marketing, operations, and finance, across the energy and asset management. Saeed was co-founder of Swiss Finance Corp, Ltd., a brokerage house with a seat on the International Petroleum Exchange (now ICE), specializing in trading of crude oil contracts, precious metals, and foreign exchange. After a decade of leadership there, he co-founded RAM Capital, SA, a multi-disciplined asset management company based in Switzerland, catering to fund of funds, family office, and ultra high net worth individuals and managing its own proprietary, emerging markets hedge fund, Reef New World. In 2012 Saeed joined Ample Power & Investments, Ltd (API), a growing global energy company, as Executive Director, working across the complete energy supply chain from extraction to delivery; working on new technologies in LNG bunkering initiatives, structured finance, manufacturing supply chain ecosystems, and trading and development of physical and non-physical value chains. Mr. Harandi is also an Executive Director of Northern Prince LNG, an LNG Liquefaction project in BC, Canada. Saeed’s deep experience and multi-faceted background continue to drive value in the energy and investment space for investors.
Leonard Thompson, Co-CEO
Len Thompson brings over 25 years of expertise and experience in the energy sector with a particular focus on developing large-scale, offshore energy projects. As a co-founder of an innovative company, he played a pivotal role in creating safe and efficient natural gas transportation for both sea and land applications. Through his career, Len has collaborated with energy industry leaders such as TransCanada Pipeline Corporation, and Overseas Ship Holding Group. His work with The Floating Pipeline company led to the commercialization of their CNG land-based system. Len’s team achieved worldwide approval for their marine CNG system from the prominent classification authorities, including the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Lloyd’s Register. This accomplishment underscores his commitment and experience to develop and deploy cutting-edge, globally-recognized technologies in the energy transportation sector.
Bill Howe, CTO
Bill Howe is a chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Engineering & Construction (E&C) industry. He is also currently CEO & Director of Gasconsult, Ltd, an LNG liquefaction technology provider for mid-scale applications. During his tenure at Foster Wheeler, he held significant leadership roles, including serving as Managing Director of Foster Wheeler, South Africa and later, Sales Director for Foster Wheeler, UK where he oversaw local and international sales activities related to energy sector projects. Prior to his current position, Bill served as CEO of Quarise Fuels, an AIM-listed emulsion fuels company, where he successfully led the company through its Initial Public Offering (IPO). His extensive experience in E&C, his executive leadership in the energy sector, and experience with listed companies, demonstrate Bill’s comprehensive industry knowledge and its application to LNG energy companies.
Kevin McCrackin, COO & President
Kevin McCrackin joined Chesapeake Utilities in 2018 and served as Assistant Vice President of Business development and Vice President of Marlin Gas Services in May of 2020. He oversees Marlin Gas, the Company’s mobile CNG transportation business and coordinates various company-wide business development activities. Kevin’s career includes several executive positions at prominent organizations in the energy sectors. At Fortress Investment Group (New Fortress Energy), he developed LNG and CNG projects. During his tenure at AGL Resources, he held utility marketing and business development responsibilities across multiple utilities. Kevin’s experience and success demonstrate a deep understanding of the energy industry, particularly in natural gas, transportation and utility operations making him a leader in the field of energy services and energy technology.
Joseph Barba, Operations Director
Joseph Barba is a Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of expertise in project management, design, procurement and construction. Over his career with Foster Wheeler, Lummus and Hitachi, Joseph has excelled in leadership roles across diverse organizations demonstrating a strategic vision and operational excellence. During his tenure in Foster Wheeler, he served as a Commercial Sponsor for Build-Own-Operate hydrogen operations in collaboration with BOC (now Linde), showcasing his ability to drive transformative industry partnerships.
Geoff Skinner, Technical Director
Geoff Skinner holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Chemistry from Oxford University. His academic foundation provided him with a deep understanding of chemical principles, which he leveraged to build an extraordinary career for over three decades at Foster Wheeler. Geoff also served as Technical Director at Synfuels Corporation in the US. His career reflects a remarkable combination of scientific rigor and engineering ingenuity. He was instrumental in the development of technology underpinning the LNG and H2 patents at Foster Wheeler, solidifying the company’s position as a leader in energy transition and sustainable solutions.
Frederick Jones, Commercial Director
Frederick Jones is a leading figure in the energy sector with deep experience forming, capitalizing and leading successful ventures. He was a founding shareholder of Glencore, Plc (originally Marc Rich & Company A.G.), a leading global commodities trading and mining company. In 2011, Fred co-founded Delfin LNG, demonstrating foresight in the LNG industry. Currently he serves as the CEO of Asiatic Gas Energy Holdings, Ltd. Further solidifying his position as an experienced leader in the global energy market. His career reflects a deep understanding of commodities trading, LNG development, and leadership in the energy sectors.
Jason Tang, Director Business Operations & Finance
Jason Tang currently serves as marketing manager of Northern prince LNG. Before that he held various positions in the finance industry for more than 15 years where he developed extensive experience in commercial banking and business development during his years in Australia and Hong Kong. During his banking tenure he was also an entrepreneur involved in various businesses such as real estate development, construction, materials supply. He has been a consultant and was instrumental is developing a pipeline of possible future Build, Own, and Operate (BOO) projects, developing the business, revenue, capital considerations the financial projections therein.
